Joint Management Entrance Test 2009 (JMET 2009) is the first step in the process of admission to the TWO YEAR FULL TIME Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by IITs for the academic year commencing July/August 2009.

Currently IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.

JMET 2009 is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to apply separately to the Institutes of their choice. They are also advised to look up the details provided in the brochure about the programmes available in the participating Institutes. There is no limit to the number of programmes a candidate can apply to, so long as he or she meets the eligibility criteria.

The results of JMET 2009 provide a basis to each participating Institute to shortlist potential candidates for conducting its own selection process, like, Group Discussion/Interview etc. However, calling the candidates for such later process of selection is the prerogative of the admitting Institute. Applications in the prescribed form are invited for Education Common Entrance Test(Ed.CET 2009) for selection of candiates for admission into B,Ed regular course in Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2009-2010.
Eligibility for Ed.CET-2009: The candiates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria
(a) The Candidates should have passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc(Home Science)/B.C.A/B.B.M. examination from any University in Andhra Pradesh or a recognized University out side Andhra Pradesh.
(b) The Candidates who are appearing for dinal degree examinations of 2009 are also eligible to appear for entrance examination.
(c) The candidates should have secured 45% marks of above in aggregate in the qualifying examnation,However, There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC/ST/OBC and other categories of candidates.
(d) The Candidates should have completed 19 years of age on 01-07-2009

Prescribed printed application form along with OMR cum ICR applications form andinformation booklet can be had across the counters from all the Head Post Offices and the University Post Offices in the State of A.P. The application forms can also be had from e-seva centers in Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupathi, Warangal,Anantapur and Guntur cities.
The cost of each application form including Registration fee, service charges, postal cahrges,etc., is Rs.150/- to be paid in cash, Duly filled in application form,and OMR cum ICRapplication form should be submitted in person or by Registerd post/Speed post to the Convener, Ed.CET-2009 PGRR Centre for Distance Education(Online Centre), Osmania University, Hyderabad -500 007 on or before 5PM,20-04-2009
